Unfortunately people will see the word “Professor” and they will think that he knows what he’s talking about. “Omg the Pacific is too big, so that’s why the Chinese didn’t land in North America before Europeans!” Wow. Talk about spewing nonsense without any evidence. The Pacific isn’t that big between the Chuckchi Peninsula and Alaska, dumbass. In fact, the land masses are closer than Europe and North America. You think that the Chinese, whom you say were master sailors, never thought to follow their own coast to North America? Is this why you needed a magazine to publish this article instead of an academic journal where your theories would have been torn to shreds by people more knowledgeable in the subject than you? Nothing here has changed. You try to explain “European dominance” by making it sound like geography and the development of European agriculture was the reason colonial enterprises occurred, instead of say, actual people who would commit genocide for money. You must have read Jared Diamond and decided you were educated, right?
